Have the new lariat scab 10 days now and it is well above my expectations. I do remember reading about the drivers wiper in the forums. This morning it snowed in NY and that patch next to the a post is pretty big. I pulled the arm and saw the key. I wonder if ford is going to do anything about it? It seems like it could become a big liability issue with blocked vision. Anyoine hears anything, let me know. Thanks
This is a similar topic, so I thought I'd throw the question in here. The manual talks about a speed-dependent intermittent wiper "if equipped." I never saw this as an option when ordering the Lariat, and I would have ordered it. My truck definitely does not have it. Has anyone been told by their dealer that it's an option? You can't order it when you build the truck on the Ford web site.
When using my windsheld wipers the driver side wiper will miss an 4"x4" spot in lower middle windsheld at the tip of the blade. When the wipers are not being used at highway speed the last 3" on the of the driver side wiper blade is shaking in the wind and is not resting aginst the glass.
Is this just my truck or all trucks doing this? If so it could be a bad design and would be a safty issue.
Labrador,
Sounds like you have a problem with the arm or the blade assembly. Mine just doesnt go far enough to the edge of the glass to clear away snow and rain. It works fine, just too limited in range of motion.
I have a bug shield, and I've had the truck up to 70 so far with no shaking of the wiper blade. The bug shield has been on there from day one, so I can't say if it would have shaken without it.
