Grind into first, if not stopped

I have a 2000 f-250 with the turbo diesel, and a six speed manual transmission with 99,000 on it. I just got a new hydraulic clutch, and since then I have trouble getting it into first. I experienced this immediately after getting my truck back from the transmission shop. I informed the mechanic of the change, but he did not believe this to be related to the newly installed clutch. The truck will shift into low or reserve when I am stopped. I have always been able to at least put the stick in the slot with the clutch depressed, and slowing to a stop. Now, I have to be under 2-3 miles an hour in order to just get the stick into the slot without grinding. I would think this is a function of the clutch?

You need to probably adjust your clutch in a little bit more.

I don't think there is anything really adjustable when you have a hydraulic clutch. But I am also not very familiar with the clutch set-ups on those trucks.

Could be a throw out bearing or something like that, but i assume they changed that when they changed the clutch.

The clutch master and slave need to be bled more, the clutch is probably not releasing all the way.

I'll try the clutch bleeding. The hydraulic clutch doesn't really adjust, but it does seem like with the clutch depressed I should be able to slip the stick into gear. Thanks.
