Coolant Lamp On?

For some reason, my coolant lamp on my 2001 Escape came on over the weekend. I checked and the levels seemed fine, but I added some coolant just in case it was a bit low. The light still comes on after the car gets warmed up.

Anyone having problems with this?

Same thing here - I also added more and it stayed on. When I took it for inspection, they (dealer) told me Ford just came out with a notice that the sensor is over sensative and it was supposed to be filled a little past the max line. Don't know if this will help but thought I would share my experience. Perhaps you can find this Ford notice and or bulletin.

Yes, there is a message for that reason. If the lamp still remains on after filling it to the max line when COLD, the degas tank (reservoir) needs replacing.
