2000 steering box adjustment

2000 steering box adjustment
Hi there all, I have a 2000 F150 4X4 super cab, I suspect that the steering box needs adjusted, however, there is no slot on top of the adjustment stud, how do you tighten up the steering box on a 2000, can some one walk me through it....PLEASE thanks

Hi Jtown150 and welcome to the forum 
The steering boxes on these usually dont need any adjusting.
Play in the shaft between the column and the box gets mistaken quite often for looseness in the box. Are your tie-rod ends all in good shape? Ball joints too?

steering play
The play is some where between the steering wheel and the box, I can reachin and tunr the shaft and watch the wheel moveinside the cab, but there is no movement after the box, everything under neith is tight and the alignment is staight? Help
