Right now it's got 275/45R20 Eagle GTIIs all the way around...well, I'm a sucker for wide tires, so I was thinking about getting some wider ones
Well, Goodyear carries a 305/50R20 Eagle GTII, so my wheels would still fit and the tires would all look the same...
1.) My MAIN concern is whether or not the tires would fit in the rear fender wells without requiring modifications to the fender well...can anyone help me out here?
2.) Also, I'm concerned with the difference in size between the front and back tires...how much of a problem would that cause?
I wouldn't really consider the Eagle GTII 285/50R20 because, well, it's only a tiny bit wider...but I KNOW the 285 will fit...
Any suggestions, comments, concerns, etc are welcome. Thanks in advance.
a 305 50 will be a bit taller than your current tire as well. A 275 45r20 is roughly 29.75" tall a 305 50 would be 32.01" tall. That's a bit too tall for a 2wd truck. What you really need is a 305 40R20. This would only be about 1/8" shorter overall than the tires you have on now and owuld be VERY wide.
On second thought, I really like the idea of a 305/50R20 tire...it would look awesome to have a tire that tall/wide filling up my rear fender...
This is just a what if:
What if I decided to go ahead and get the 305/50s...and what if I decided to tub (or mini-tub) my truck...what is a roundabout figure for the cost of tubbing?
