LAST EDITED ON 28-Jun-01 AT 11:27 AM (EST)[p]I am iterested in installing a ram air type intake package onto my 2000 F250 SDCC 5.4L. Western Diesel has a unit available that fits behind the grill and also replaces the factory air box and filter. Do all of the 2000 Super Dutys use the same air intake regardless of engine size? Has anyone installed one of these units and had any improvements in performance? Does anyone know of other units available? I am currently using a K&N filter and have seen a mileage increase of about 1 mpg.
I'm not real sure, but my guess would be that the intake is different for each engine. The man who would have answer's to your questions is Mark Craig. He is a sales guy for Western Diesel, and is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to these trucks. His email address is westerndiesel(No Email Addresses In Posts!) and their phone number is 1-888-621-4006. Good luck
