Hey yall, im the very recent proud owner of a '94 F150 XL. im new to the whole truck thing, so i could really use some info on modifying my new baby.
im plannin on gettin a flo-pro exhaust and was wanted to get cold air intake but from doing searches, cold air intake for 94 f150's dont exsist? am i just not lookin in the right place or is there further modifying to do before i can get cold air intake.
also what kidna work has to be done to get dual exhuast?
what other engine mods are possible for my truck? im mostly in it for the performance/mileage. headers? exhaust? intake? what else is there that can be done to keep my 2 gas tanks filled with gas for as long as possible.
Alot has to depend on what engine you have, I'm sorry but I don't see the displacement posted.
FIPK (fuel injected performance kits) are available for your truck regardless if you have the I6, 302, or the 351.
You can find the one your needing by clicking on the following link.

Its a matter of taking off the "Y" pipe at the exhaust manifolds, running bent exhaust tubing underneath the truck on both sides, adding two cats and two mufflers, and continuing the pipes down to behind the rear wheels.
You can do that with clamps, or by welding, the latter being the best way because clamps rot and eventually those seams leak, and its hard to get rusted clamps off sometimes.
if you have a side tank under the bed, it might be in the way, and you have to route the exhaust outside of the frame. Again, fabrication job.
Its easy if you know what you're doing. If you don't, leave it for Midas or one of those places. They usually have a tubing bender on site for weird, one-off type jobs.h
Cateletic converters (sp?) they super heat themselves and burn off al extra gas and polutants in the exhaust, but some people my self included dont run them, i dont see the point, mine was plugged so i took it off put a peic of pipe in and its all better now,
Cats are catalytic converters, like ATC said they eat hydrocarbons chemically.
I do have one on my truck, even though I probably could pass emissions without it.
I have no problem not polluting the environment more than I have to. A fresh, new cat doesn't plug the system enough to worry about it being there. When they get old and clogged, they are like a big cork.
yeah, mine was plugged tight, thats the only reason its gone, i plan on putting a super flow catco cat on in the spring, as soon as i can find one that isnt overpriced with a 3" in/out
