Clutch options.
I was pulling my mud racer home from a car show tonight and coming up a big hill in 5th gear (ZF-5) the motor reved real quick. The clutch slipped. I just geared down and kept going not lugging it. But clutch failure is obviously immenent. So my question to yall is which one and how much. I can do the job myself no problem. But should I switch to the solid flywheel? Should I stay with the Dual mass? How much is each? And what clutch assy. and how much. Just looking for your opinions. Thanks.

I'd go with a LUK smfw and clutch upgrade. Try www.southbendclutch.com or www.carolinaclutch.com

Take it from someone that has been there,forget the dual-mass.I have almost 92,000 miles on my '95 and have been through 3 dual-mass flywheels and 2 clutches and I don't pull a trailer very often.Just recently put in the Luk smfw and their #07-171 clutch,not sure I like the clutch though,very grabby,wants to "buck-jump" while taking off.

I bought the Valeo smf and clutch from www.dialaclutch.com and am very happy with it. It was also half the price of a new dmf from my dealer.
