Changing rear end ratios..

Hello all..

Is it possible to change the rear end ratios? I have a '00 V-10 4x4 with the auto tranny. I have the 4.30 rear end and am considering the 3.73.

Is this possible? Is there anything I would have to do to the front end? Any idea on cost ($200 or $2000)?

If you're paying someone to do it, expect to pay about $1500 per axle, and you will have to do both ends.

Why do you want the 3.73's? If you want to change your ratio, jump up to bigger tires. A 255x85Rx16 fits the stock rims nicely. They are about 33" tall and about the same width as a 265x75rx16. Be sure to get the speedo recalabrated and there ya go!
