Front End Noise HELP!!!
I recently had a brake job done, Replaced rotors and pads. I also had a rotate and balace about a month ago. This week while braking I hear a scraping noise.......sounds like its coming from the left front side. Any ideas??? sounds like calipers are rubbing on something????

Some break pads are equipped with a small metal tab, which indicate the pads are wearing down. My guess is this got bent during installation. Should be easy enough to pull the wheel and spin the rotor to check.

If it only does it when braking, you know it's not related to the tire rubbing on anything. Jack up front end, pull off wheel and rotate hub slowly to see where the noise is coming from. Could just be the brake pad wear clip as mentioned above. If it is and you have new pads, get a pair of needle nose pliers and just gently bend it away from the rotor. Depending on how new your pads are, it's not uncommon for a very slight rub to occur between the pads and the rotor. As long as the wheel can turn freely I wouldn't worry about it.
