Yes I did know mileage wouldn't be that good with a V10, and yes when I bought it I did notice that the MPG info was missing on the sticker. With that said, I just wanted to know if any of these things really improve the mileage or not, exhaust systems, ram-air, computer chips..etc, and if so which mods and brands to use would be most helpful. I do love my truck 2001 F-250 XLT V10 SC SB 3.73, and would love to get about 2-4 more mpg. Any Mod or mpg increasing Info will help, Thanx :-)

Any of the above modifications will contribute to more power, but 2-4 MPG is most likely not going to happen.
The mods you mentioned may well get a 2-4 mpg increase if you drive it sensibly, but with all the newfound power, it's just too easy to squash the loudpedal. Not that thats a bad thing:7
Thanx for the info guys. I was wondering if there are more mods I could make like tire size, supercharger, trans mods, gearing. Does limited slip even help or anything else that might improve the mpg? I am going to do most of the mods I mentioned but just was wondering the do's and do not's of what will and will not work for improving MPG...:-)
If you are really worried about MPG which directly relates to money you are probably better off doing the least mods you an handle. lol The little bit you gain will not warrent the price you paid I can almost garrantee it. Most people that add stuff to their trucks do it for the power. Say you gain 2mpg. And you spend 300 bucks doing it, it will take more miles than you will probably own the truck for. As for a superchager, the price alone should detour a MPG hunter. 3000+ A limited slip does absolutely nothing but increase off road traction. A gear change wont save you money unless your current gears are darastically low or high.
At 12 MPG driving 15,000 miles a year and spending $1.50 per gallon one would save $281.00 in one year by increasing mileage by 2 mpg. I would definately spend $300.00 to save two mpg.
1.50, That's what I used to pay, but here in California I pay, using the cheapest gas (87 octane), about 1.85 to 2.05 a gallon now. So try using those numbers and figure out how much I will save... Also, I am not doing this just to gain more MPG, I just want to know if these mods that I can do will actually increase the MPG, also if there are other mods that will help in power and MPG, while trying to stay away from mods that will decrease the MPG....Thnk you all for your responses. It does help in my quest, so keep those comments coming..:-)
If my calculations are made at $1.50 per gallon and you pay $2.00 per gallon your savings would be 1/3 again greater or an additional $93.00. That is of course assuming that the miles driven and starting miles per gallon are reasonably close.
There really aren't great mpg mods. If there were Ford would already be using them... LOL. These few things may bring your mpg up by 2 at most. Banks or Borla headers, K&N air filter or air filter kit, cat-back exhaust, proper air pressure in your tires, synthetic oil in the engine, tonneu cover(soft or hard), slow starts and don't drive past 55 mph.
