Relocated Gas Tank
It's time for the 'Daisy to lose the tank in the cab and go to a safer location - out between the frame rails behind the axle. I've seen the ones already made by Classic Performance, but I will be fabricating it myself.
What I want to know is, does anyone already have one moved out there, and what are the dimensions they used? On first inspection, it doesn't look like there's much room for one, unless is hangs way down and is visible. On the other hand, this company makes them and it looks like it's shallow enough not to be too seen (esp. on a lowered truck).
Anyone have measurements that worked out? As a restorer with a kustom/traditional hot rod streak, I'd rather fab one than go hunt thru a junkyard for a tank.
Thank you!

I'm gritting my teeth that you live so far away! I have a 351M/Cruise-o-matic in mine now. I want to go back to the Y-block and use period speed goodies on it. I already have the complete 4spd!
the lens thing is looking good so far, I still need to get red bulbs and take pictures. the lenses and dots were 28.00 for all new.
the y-block is either going to get parted out or sold to whoever wants to buy it, it will include the stock 4 speed tranny and stuff a well.
