I have a F150 and I'm having a problem with my window, they are power windows. Well the problem I'm having is I push the button and they wont go up, sometimes they slide down alittle at a time, when I'm trying to get them up. Anyways I think that the teeth are messed up in the motor, but I can't figure out how to get the motor out to check on it. Can someone please help. I'm also having another problem, I really don't know the part so I will try to explain it. On the passenger side under the hood, the is like a little cylinder like thing that the battery cable go into and a few wires from underneth the cylinder, anyways can anyone tell me what that might be from my discriptions.
Does this diagram help? I am thinking you are talking about the starter relay? And I have never messed with power windows, but I think some of them you have to drill some rivets out to get the motor out of the door.
1. Raise the front door window glass to the full up position.
2. Remove the front door trim panel.
3. Remove the door speaker.
4. Position the watershield aside.
5. CAUTION: Make sure the electrical connector is positioned aside before drilling.
To access the power window motor bolts, use a 19 mm (3/4-in) hole saw with a 8 mm (1/4-in) pilot to drill three holes at the existing drill dimples on the door.
6. Disconnect the front door window regulator electrical connector.
7. Remove the bolts and the front door window regulator motor.
8. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
Cycle the window glass to make sure the gears engage.
As far as cylinder thing, why do you ask are there other issues your trying to fix?
yes, like i said about the cylinder thing, the battery cables go into it and everytime i try to cranck it up there is a clicking sound coming from it. i think that it is the starter solinoid, no sure though. and thank you about the motor part.

99% of the time the clicking noise is caused by bad battery cables, or loose corroded connections at the battery itself.
ok that creates a problem then, only because i just replace the wires and the connection. i did put them exactly the same as it was before. i thought about that and figured that it might have been the battery posts being corroded or whatever but their fine too.
