hey guys, i have an 84 f-250 with the t-18 or t-19 transmission (4speed-granny gear)....and i was wondering if/where there was a port for a temperature reading unit, if there is can you point me in that general direction?
Isn't a T-## tranny a manual tranny? If so why do you want a temp gauge? Most manuals run cool all the time unless they are way overloaded, so they normally don't need temperature sensors or coolers. Since all the manuals we are likely to see also don't pump their fluid there is no pressure port to tap into. You would have to put a sensor into the tranny. Maybe someone makes a sensor that replaces the drain plug?
If it is an automatic, usually you have to buy a remote filter with temperature sensor or some coolers have a port. I don't know if there is an easy aftermarket port you can add without adding the filter or cooler.
oh, alright, thanks for the info, just sometimes when it gets really hot outside, it feels different and drives a little different, but i guess that's to be expected
