1961 unibody tailgate
anybody know anyplace to get the rods that hold the tailgate level when opened on a 61 unibody f100? i have looked everyplace but nobody seems to make replacements for them..any help would be appriciated..

try johns fun lot...i believe the sit is www.f100.com...othawise buy a classic truck mag...and look in the classifieds for parts dealers

Fellow on eBay has a set available to the high bidder on his uni tailgate, ruff but seen FAR worse, search term ' fords unibody' presently at 49 for the tailgate, rods are forty more to the high bidder.

does anyone make aftermarket ones?i drove to a guys place yesterday that said he had a 61 unibody with two tailgaits but the one on the truck was shot and the other one was laying on the ground next to the truck.had a hole rusted through it.just my luck,no tailgate wired on eather one.wanted 200 bucks for the truck.had motor but no trany.only thing good on it i seen was both doors and one front fender..Tom
