converting to power steering
Hi all F-100 owners. I am new to this website but I sure spend a lot of time looking at all the pictures and reading all the great info. I have a 1966 Ford F-100 with a three speed on the tree and a 300 6 cyl. My question is what year of truck do I need to find to convert my manual steering to power, and will a C6 tranny bolt right up to my engine.Im also thinking about changing to auto. This truck was my grandpas then my dads now it is mine and is excellent cond. So I want to make sure I do it right. Thanks for any info I can get.

Topic has come up on occasion, suggest running search on variations on subject. Sometimes difficult locating thread due to wording. May want to take look at couple of threads in Dec. 2003, in this forum.
1. Author: dads66, under 'donor truck' dated 12/25/03.
2. Author: andysutt, under 'power steering again', 12/7/03.
If have not done so, seems many making disc brake swap at same time. If considering, suggest run search as noted above. Also topic in the 'tech article' section of FTE.
