myself, i dont race, period. BUT, my friend on the otherhand...he likes to. he has a 88 lincoln markVII with a 302 H.O. well one day me and him were in town cruisin around and a ricer pulled up next to us. my friend revs the engine, the ricer revs his engine. well the light turned green and they both hammered it...it was pretty close. from there on out we were ahead goin the speed limit. well all of a sudden the ricer nails it and blows by, but we blow by him later doin about 90mph. then the ricer hammers it and blows by us, and we were done. there was absolutly NO hope in catching him. i got a good laugh out of it since my friend got his a$$ kicked by an import :P

hmmmm..... one time at a light I had the boys loaded up in my Bronco and this 97ish F150 pulls up and of course the guys were like rev your engine. I put it in neutral and give it a good rev......and it dies. Throw it park and restart (light is still red) it, the guy in the F150 is laughing and the light turns green, I throw it in drive and hit it. The guy in the F150 was laughing still as I take him by default. Not a true victory, but a victory non the less. Everyone was laughing in the Bronco too. Good times. -William

I usually don't race because I really don't have the car for it, but some Civic with neons all over just kept revving up his fart cannon at a red light. I was gettin on the freeway on a two lane on ramp that changes to one lane, and I had the right of way and there was no way I'd let a Civic get ahead of me. The light turned green and I floored it, I stayed even with him and he had to get behind me. The look on his face was priceless, I laughed all the way home.

I never have raced, but i;m going to in a week or so. What do you think: 97 F-150 with 5.4, limited slip, stock except for 32 inch mud terrains VS. my 79 f-150 with 460 and ARB locker in rear. I also got mud tires. Its actualy going to be a tug of war in an open field. tell me what you think.

Locker is better than LS.
What are you hooking them up with? It better be strong.
I have killed a few civics with the ranger (and various other 4 banger, rice eaters), but i always let off when i get to the speed limit, or a little over But when someone wants to race i always ask the how far. Then they say 1/4 mile or 1/8 or whatever. Then i tell them i get to pick the track. Mud or sand either one. They dont want to race then Can you see a low riding civic fall in ruts and roll over? lol

I had a 460 with strait pipes and about 360 Horses. needless to say, I got a lot of revving at redlights.. my most memorable kill was an eclipse with a turbo... I told my girl to lock the hub on her side and I got mine and then we got back in. the light went green and I did a 3000 RPM clutch drop in 4x4. I smoked him and all four tires... Then I learned how bad that is and never did it again...
