Looks like they found ole Martha Stewart guilty, and she said she will appeal.

Yeh! I caught the guilty verdict on four counts on the news just a little while ago. I had no doubt but juries do strange things. Just goes to show that even those with lots of money aren't above the law! I guess we now wait to see if she gets the max sentence - I'll be real surprised if she does!

If truth be known I really don't even like her or her personality . But, she got a raw deal compare her to the likes of Milken, Heads of Enron, Tyco etc., (the list is long and distinguished) and actually she has lost about half of her projectesd billion dollar fortuane whereas the above mentioned people wil get thee old slap on the hand routine. I myself lost my retirement not once but twice because of the likes of these men , and of course there is no recourse. So, I hope we will start looking at all that do it and sentence everyone fairly. Rip and old person out of all their hard earnings through life- hang 'em. I think Martha has already paid her dues with her own financial lost due to this ordeal without putting a relatively harmless 62 year old lady in prison-- while some scumbag viloent offender walks around your children daily. It's our system.

i was surprised someone like martha and as rich as her was taken down but i also doubt she will get the maxinum sentence.

would like her to get max sentence, but she will probably get 1 or 2 years if that, a fine and probation. the fine probably wont even amount to the money she made/avoided losing by selling when she did.

I heard that she will most likely get 12-24 months. I also heard that the prosecution never wanted her to go to jail and begged her to plea bargain and come clean but after three chances she still refused to cooperate. Probably due to bad advice from her attorney. She blew it and greedy people deserve what they get IMO.
