I have a 2000 F250 7.3l Turbo Diesel. I attained the Bullydog 4 bank switch with the on-the-fly switch. I have a stock exhaust system, and a friend suggested just buying a cut-out to use when I wanted to run the chip at the +110 setting. And that my stock exhaust was fine for the 50 or 80hp settings. Is this information correct???? Thanks for any help!

It should be fine with the 50HP. 80HP should be fine when not towing except at high altitudes. I don't think a cut-out is the way to go, you need the larger exhaust not only for better air-flow but also for its ability to dissipate heat faster. I don't have enough data about Bullydog 110 settings to give a 100% qualified answer and I recommend you contact them directly.

Thanks Ken....I admire you dedication to this site by responding to everyone. One clarification for myself, you saying I should be fine at 50, and 80 (no towing) with the cutout or just stock?? I guess my problem is that I don't have $400 right now to buy an exhaust system. Would a cold air intake suffice?
