Ford appears to have dropped the carpeting on their new Rangers. Does anyone know of an aftermarket carpet kit made for a 2004 Ranger XL short cab with floor shift?
In the 04's, (not sure about previous years), the "Value" package truck has the Vinyl flooring rather than carpeting. I actually like the vinyl flooring better than carpet because it's so easy to keep clean and doesn't get stinky after a while. You could always just get some carpeted floor mats or something. I see plenty of those on ebay all the time in all years & colors. They usually average about $20-$40 depending on if you need just the fronts or fronts and backs.
Thanks all, I've checked out these possibilities and hit zero. FYI, there still appears to be no carpet available for a '2004 short cab' XL w/5-speed. :( Lots of options, though, for older Rangers and the supercab version.
My '04 Edge came with only the "plastic" floor covering. After thinking about it, I determined it was OK...easy to clean. I went to Wally-World and bought heavy/thick black rubber floor mats that fit just fine...and they were about $7.50!!!!!!!!!!! Works for me!!!!
To my knowledge, in the XL trim line, carpet was not even an option. Modify your search to XLT, because carpet was an option. It will fit, the body is the same.
