Flowmaster 70 Cat-Back

I am thinking of getting a Flowmaster 70 series cat-back system for my '02 5.4 (single in, single out). Has anyone heard the 70 series? I want something thats not too loud and annoying, but smooth and louder than stock. Thanks

Carl - mine should be here tomorrow - I'll let you know, I have the same truck. Go to summitracing.com, look for flowmaster part number 17229. Cheapest you'll find it for anywhere.

What size tubing does it come with? What kind of tip? I saw 2 different part numbers for the tip on Flowmasters site.

Carl, I have ran the 70 series Big Block muffler on just about every V8 I owned. It makes a great sound outside, and is very quiet inside the cab. I am 99% sure it will come with a 3 inch tail pipe, all mandrel bent. For the tip either a 3.5 inch or a 3 inch that slides right over the tail pipe. They use the same configuration for almost all of the single in/out systems for larger V8's

Put mine on this morning, took about 20 minutes start to finish, and that was taking the old exhaust out. Has a slight throat to it, but nothing obnoxiuos at all. Its a 3" dia, has the aluminized coating.

I have the same truck and I have had that exhaust on it for a long time. It sounds good. I got the one with the 3 1/2 inch tip.
