Whats the biggest engine you could get into a '64 1/2 or a '65 without too much work?
351W is a much better choice for that year. Lots of engines and after market parts designed specificly for that swap. As for the biggest, I know there are some 460s that have been crammed in those years but to do it right requires lots of modifications.
The guys at FM (ford muscle) have all the information on any ford car swap you could ever want, this has been discussed on there several times. It can get a bit heated though, and it might take a day for someone to come by and help out, but its worth it.
