Excursion lift

01 Excurion 4x4 V10. I currentyl have a 6" procomp lift. I'm running 315-75-16 (35") tires, with 16x10 wheels. Can I add a 1" shackle lift in front to clear a 36" tire. Also, will i have to lenthen the front drive shaft or do some other mods to the existing lift. Procomp recommends the 35" tire with their 6" but i feel the tires look to small in those huge wheel wells. especially in the back. thanks in advance.

The tires should fit without any more lift. You are only adding 1" total height to the tire, so you divide that in half and that is the amount of tire in the fenderwell. I'm running 305's with no lift and they don't hit.

do you like the procomp 6 inch lift? I have not heard many good things about it but I desparately need to get my '03 off the ground. Could you send a pic my way or post one? Love to see what it looks like with 35s...may look small but I think the wheel travel of 35s would out weigh the 36s look. Had a full sized Bronco that would have tire rub over medium bumps (curb) at moderate speed (30) and it made me lift it more (10in) to get the wheel travel without cutting the body.
Thanks

emag in a later post someone said they were running 37's i believe w/ the 6in lift. I think its under 6" 8" superlift heading. Justpimpin I am getting ready to put a 8in BDS suspension under my 00 X, I dont know how big you are looking to go but I can send you pics once I get it done. BDS seems to make really good lifts, and they have a lifetime warranty w/ them as long as you own the vehicle which I didnt find many other places. BDS makes a 6" 8" and 10" lift depending on what your looking for.

It depends on how wide they are!!!

At one time I had a fabtech 5.5" lift and 35/12.50R's on 16X10 Welds. I decided to get 36/14.50/16 PJ's. Serious rubbing even after trimming and shimming out the front bumper. I had to add a 3" body lift to clear the tires.
