Make sure the tranny doesn't shudder since it has the CD4E. 2001's seem to have more problems, 2002's less and so on. The 2nd build of the 2002's seem to have fewer problems then the early 2002's. Other potential areas: front end noise (tie rod ends, possibly the rack), sticky gas pedal (throttle body buildup). Check out the front pads/rotors since the OEM pads create alot of dust and the rotors are too soft. The rotors usually have to be replaced on the first brake job (preferrably with non OEM parts). You'll feel a lip on the outer edge of the rotor. Having a smooth surface doesn't mean anything.
I'm not trying to scare you away from an '02. I've got one with 56k miles, think it's great, and the only problem I've had is the throttle body buildup (takes about 15 minutes to remove and clean) and the rotors need to be replaced. At other sites I've seen alot of posts about the tranny shudder and front-end noise.
