Could someone answer a few questions about TSB's please:
1. I have seen the TSB titles on the NHTSA site, but where do I find the body of the document?
2. Is a problem identified by a TSB, just the maker saying, "here are some things we screwed up on" and its up to me to get them fixed -OR- does the maker/dealer fix the problem at their expense? (Somehow I doubt it's the latter)
Ford will not pay for TSB repairs unless the vehicle is under warranty, either the factory warranty or an extended plan if the parts in question are covered under that plan... The dealer may also get full or partial coverage of repairs if a warranty has recently expired ,but it's up to the dealer to make that decision. It sucks but thats the way it is..
