'99 250 4x4 front axle problems....
I'm new to this site and need your expert advice fellas. As stated above, I have a 1999 F-250 4x4 with almost 80k miles on it. I've already had the needle bearings go out on the passenger side. When this happened i had to replace the whole right side axle......Ford charged me well over $1000.00 bucks for the job!! Well now i think my driver's side (short tube) may need to be lubed..................the tech at Ford said it probably eventually would. Can anybody that has had to tackle this job give me some pointers? I am fairly mechanically inclined, but I'm not sure what to expect with this task. Any hints would be greatly appreciated. Also, is there anywhere i could find some literature on how to proceed............manuals, exploded views, etc.? The axle is a Dana 50, part # 610659-1. The Dana part book says this is a non ABS axle, but i do have ABS? Thanks in advance for your assistance.

This will do it for you just don't press the ball joints out of the knuckle.
