Okay, so yeah, this isn't the most high tech or important question, but the switch to role up and down the tailgate window half works. What I mean by this, is that it will roll it down no problem, but not back up, I have to get out and use the key. It's not that serious of a problem obviously, but it's one of those that bugs you. I have taken the switch apart and sanded the contacts to clear grime or anything, it actually made the down button better but not the up. I have only gotten it to go up like an inch that was twice, both times within like two seconds of eachother. So I am pretty sure it's not the wires. I am thinking of taking a volt-meter to the plug to make sure all wires have running power, and buying/getting a new switch to see if that will help at all. Anyone had this problem before, or any suggestions?
I had the same problem. I would have to hold down the switch as hard as possible for teh chance it would roll the window up. I cleaned the switch too and it didnt' help. I bought a new switch from Ford it was maybe 25 bucks hooked it up problem solved
I agree completely, that was the first thing I bought for my bronco. what you will hate is the fact that it will take you less time to replace it then it did to clean and sand all of those contacts.
