I want to spice my Trucks appearence with out taking away from the Stock look. I was thinking about Ghost Flames with the slightest of contrast in the color of the flames. Or even Pearl flames that comes and goes with light variations. Any painters out there with any inputÉNo stickers or decals guys i want paintÉ but the job has to be perfect i wont stand for anything less. So i will have to see samples prior to decieding. I have the paint code for the Sonic blue if we just want to make a small adjustment to that color for the flames. I also saw a ribbon effect that was awesome on a yellow truck. Any ideas will be consideredÉ
Depending on what you want to spend, the sticker might be a way to get "perfection" at the lowest price. Here locally, I would think you might have to get off the beaten path a little to find a painter with artistic abilities. He probably wont be at one of the big body shops or car dealerships. I know a guy that has a body shop off of K-10 on the way to Lawrence and would be happy to ask him for any recommendations if you like.
If you want paint there are 2 places I know that are good but costly. One is in Wamego,ks and the other by Tulsa, Ok. Had a 29 T-bucket done in Wamego I will post some pictures to look at and Just had a 32 coupe done in Tulsa. Will pick it up nest thursday and then I can post pictures of that too.
Talk to Mark, I know he has some nice custom paint on his truck...Did we not have this conversation before at Winsteads? inanycase I think it will look sweet..
Yes it will look sweet, but its more work than just taping out the flames and spraying the pearl.
Basically you have to prep the whole area as If you are re-painting the complete panels, mask off the flame area and spray pearls, etc. then clearcoat the entire panel so the tape lines wont be felt, then comes colorsanding and buffing.
