Transfer case swap?
I am working on a swap from a C-6 auto to a 4-speed manual in a '78 F-250 4wd. From what I have been able to discern the transfer case is the same. However, a friend who works at a Ford shop told me today that the transfer cases between the auto and the manual are different and would need to be included in the swap. Do I need to change the transfer case, too?

Transfer case should be the same between the two, but the intermediate housing is different. You also might need new driveshafts, and possibly might have the move the tranny support crossmember.
