91 F350 E4OD Upshift Problem
I own a 1991 F-350 with the 7.3 Diesel. I am currently having some problems with the transmission upshifting. I believe it is the E40D. It seems like it has a delayed shift. I can accelerate, but I have to let off the gas to shift 1-2 and 2-3. If someone could shed some light on this I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks all!

I'm gonna tell ya good luck right up front.There are many things that will effect the shifting in an E4OD tranny. I had a similar problem that took several months and wasted $ to find a bad connection in the main wiring harness coming from the engine.
If you do indeed have an E4OD it could be the TPS,the MLPS,the speed sensor,a bad ground or a bad connection in the electrical.Pull the codes and see what comes up.
