I recently bought a 79 Bronco w/ a built 460 in it , I decided to change the oil in it and used 10w30 in it . When I started it up it smoked blue pretty bad out of the right side only, after I contacted the previous owner he stated he always used 50 wt. Kendall in it , I changed it back to this oil and it seems better, do you think it's the valve seals dried up? it did sit awhile.it doesn't smoke except at idle.

worn piston rings. I'm not an expert by any means, but maybe the higher rpm makes more heat and the rings expand so when it idles some heat goes away and they contract a little.
