Question Fuel Injected Pistons

I am hoping some one can help me out with this one.... I have a 78 460 and want to bump the compression up, are the pistons found in newer injected 460s flat top, or do they have the same big 'ol dish on top as the older pistons. If not, is the compression height the same? Bottom line: Will This Work????
(I may have read that the newer ones are destroked.)

I just had my 89 460 torn down. I don't know about the compression height but I do know a little about the dish. The older ones had a oval dish about .240 deep. My 89 EFI 460 has a .070 oval dish. I think that from 93 and up they changed the design on the dish a little. I didn't take time to "cc" the dish because I just wanted to replace with stock pistons.

Thumbs up

Thank you very much Mr. bgriek! I just looked up the info, and '89 pistons will bump the compression from 8.0 to 9.7! The pin size and compression height are the same, and best of all they can be had at Auto Zone for $100.99 for the set!!!
I'll post again after I install these bad puppies.
