2003 Upgrades!

Not much for posting on this audio stuff, but there's only so long a mobile dj can go without a rad system in the truck too.

So far i have got a pioneer 6500dvd for a head unit. I am thinking of either going with poineer or infinity perfect 4x6's all around.

if that's ok, good,
Here's the trouble, i have to use my backseat(extended cab),not very often but there are times i need it all back there. So i'd like an easily removable box.
I figured if i went with a pair of 10's or 12's in seperate boxes behind each seat. I dunno what brand or what amp.

HELP, i need to know, I aint looking to rumble the neighbors outta bed, but i want the cab to sound good. It aint gotta rattle, but sound very well when turned up in the summer time.

I'd recommend Image Dynamics IDQ subs. They have a fairly shallow mounting depth, they are an excellent sound quality sub with plenty of punch.

hows it going--I would recommend a single 12" woofer in a sealed
enclosure-- You will get plenty of quality sound out of a single woofer--as it will be placed right behind the front seat it will be heard and felt---Id shop around on brands--just get good brand name equipment that you like

You can take the top of the back seat out easily - and mount a amplifier back there for your woofer-- theres also plenty of room
if your 6500 has a brain that needs to be seperatley mounted

then you will have a fairly small-compact box - easy to remove

the larger diameter (surface area)of a sub will allow it to displace more volume
which equates to greater sound pressure levels SPL
and also the larger sub will generate the lower bass notes
a little easier and more pronounced

however on the sound quality side of things--you can get great sound out of most any size sub woofer in the correct setup

if your going with a single sub a 12" would be best
if going with 2 10" you will also be very happy
just make sure you use the right enclosure for those subs
