I have a truck on order. Got an ok deal, but after rechecking the numbers and looking at the "deals" here...I am not getting a great deal. Anybody ever sweeten the deal after the fact, maybe with dealer installed accessories? Seems like a good dealer and a fair deal...just that yankee in me.

If you believe it is a win-win deal for both of you the stay with what you got.

If you feel the deal is win-lose then walk away and go somewhere else. Remember the deal has to be good for both sides (win-win). If you believe it is a win-win deal then stay where you are at and support your local business man. If not then why support him.
The way I see it is if you think its a fair deal and you have been treated well then keep the deal, after all your word means something.
Being in the business the main thing that really annoys me is when someone agrees to something and gives me there word then comes back and asks for more. How would the customer feel if they and the delaership had agreed on a deal and then the salesperson came back and says oh by the way I want another $500, to me that wouldn't fly. Then again thats just my opinion.

That speaks volumes. The dealer where I bought my F150 really went out of his way to find me the truck I wanted -- a 4 x 4 XLT 5 speed manual. Not many of them out there at the time. All the other dealers would not work with me.
I did try to reduce the price after the truck was driven in but was told no and I quickly realized that the salesman was right . He EARNED the sale.
And I have never had a vehicle prepped as nicely.
Support the good folks that are honest and fair, they have families to support just like the rest of us.
As to the other type of dealers and sales folks, well run like heck...
Yeah thanks guys......you are right ....I think I may have found the best dealer I have ever worked with. As I have read somewhere else, I dont mind leaving a good tip for an excellent dinner. This is a dealer run buy true car guys.
