88b2 which trans do i have

its a 5spd #s are fm146 is it a mazda mittsubishi or koyo

Probably a Mazda M5OD.

The Mitsubishi has a stamped sheet metal bottom pan. The TK or Mazda transmission has a cast aluminum flat bottom cover with ribs.

i got a mits is that good or bad iheard you cant buy parts for it

I worked in a Ford dealership for 26 yrs. We saw no particular problems with either the mitsubishi or the TK5. A few of both transmissions had bearing failures. Keep the oil up and use proper oil. The oil used by Ford was an 80wgt transmission oil only availible at Ford dealers. We often used a straight 90wgt synthetic with good results. Heavier multi-viscosity oils can make it shift hard in cold weather.
