Having a slight to major miss on my 302. Its worse as the engine has to work harder especially at low rpms. My local mechanic said that I need new wire because of my headers. The heat created by my headers is what is causing the miss. Have the same wires before headers.
Is this possible? I the wires are not even a year old. I looked at them and they don't seem to be melted and shorting out.
Has anyone had any similar problems like this?
If this is the case...I looking at getting some Accel Super Tune-Up Wires that are supposed to have heat reflected coated boots that are resistant to 1200 degrees. Anyone use the product or a similar one?

sounds like a timing problem possibly to much initial advance or even a vacuum leak if it's at idle - as the prev. post get a ohm meter and check each wire for continuity.
