Changing Overhead Console

Has anyone with a 99' - 01' Lariat taken off their overhead console and replaced it with an 02' or newer? Direct swap?

or has any body added the 02'-04' style to a 99' - 01' that did not have a console from the factory? How is the fit?

I am interested in a overhead console too, what year console would fit a '99 best, and is the wiring up under the headliner for the console? Is it plug and play? I have heard that one would need a temp sending unit also for the thermometer? I have ton of questions about this...
