Alright...I am gona try to put a cam in my pickup the intake is off the rockershafts so i got might aswell syndrome (dont you love that) Well I picked a gently used cam up in great shape it a Crowder Power Beast, I have called them, number doesnt work, and emailed them a couple times, I just want some instructions for safety any idea's..? ( any one got some they can email or something gona be puting my intake, carb and cam in hopefully this weekend)
Changing the cam is easy. I'll get to telling you how tomorrow unless someone else gets to it. Time for me to hit the sack.
Just out of curiosity what are the specs on that cam? Gtex used to run one and he might try to talk you out of it. He would have good reason depending on the cam specs. Some of their cams are very big but very lazy about getting the valves open and closed.
I just decided to do the same thing on a rebuilt motor with about 10,000 miles. The Camshaft bearings are scuffed and need to be replaced. Does anybod know how to replace the bearings? Do I have to pull the crankshaft out? Where can I find the instalation tool?
