I have a 2000 F350 CC LB Dually with 15000 miles and was wondering what the general word around here on shocks is. Thanks in advance.

JUNK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Try some aftermarket shocks and you will be amazed. All my Ford shocks were leaking at 25k.

Thanks for the Advice.can any tell me what kind works the best for all around street driving It is a 4x2 and I would like the best without makeing the ride any worse. Thanks again

Most poeple seem to be using Edelbrock, Bilstein or Rancho 9000's which are adjustable.

I replace the OEM shocks on my F250 SD with Edelbrock IAS shocks. They really improved the ride.

Did anyone change their own shocks? Are changing shocks ona superduty any differt than changing them on anything else? Anything new to be concerned about or bobby traps waiting to bite the unsuspecting shadetree mechanic?

I put the Rancho RS9000 shocks on my dually to help with camper hauling. The stock shocks allowed too much sway with that top heavy camper loaded. With the Rancho shocks, I can crank up the dampening when the camper is loaded yet keep a smooth ride when unloaded. BTW, they work so good for dampening sway that I will not carry a camper without installing those shocks.

As far as install goes; it's a piece of cake. Just remember that the front shock mount nuts have little brackets on them, so you need to turn the bolt. Of course if you get some Nitrogen filled shocks (doesn't apply to the above mentioned Rancho shocks), then you have to be careful when cutting the retaining strap because they will extend in a brisk manner and could hurt you.
