Question Dome Light overide switch needed

Would like information on how to wire in a dome light overide (defeat) switch in a 2003 E-150
van.

I would drop the dome light down, and find out what color wires go to it. Then I would guess which way they go down through the body, and try to intercept one of them, cut it, and then add a manual switch in it to break or make the circuit.

I've looked into this possibility and it seems the dome lights may be mounted to the headliner before it is installed. There were no visible attachment hardware. I could easily be missing something in the construction methods since this is the first Ford I've owned in several years. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I'm guessing that if you remove the dome light lens that you will find mounting screws underneath.

Thanks to those that have replied! I found that the dome lights are a "clip in" unit. When I figured out where the lock tabs were the light comes out easily. I now know that the feed to the light from the door triggers is a blue wire. I'll need to find somewhere I can interupt this blue wire that affects all four lights at once. More time to investigate the path of that blue wire should yield a point where I can tap into it and run to an overide switch.
