I recently purchased an '86 bronco II and the radio was missing. i didnt know what kind came with it so i got one out of an '88 eddie bauer van because it looked pretty close. i just cut off the two plugs on the back because i didnt know if my bronco had them. well i got home and the gray plug was still on the bronco originally, the black plug looked like it had been cut off so i just spliced color to color wire together off the plug i got out of the van. i hooked it all up and it came on, but none of the buttons would work. I took it back and got another one, and id did the exact same thing. the vans i got them out of had the equalizer connected factory to the radio. this seems like too big of a coincedence too me. whats wrong??
i didn't solve the problem all together, but i did get it so that the buttons started working on it. i had the speaker wires on the rightfront crossed so i un crossed them and then i had to totally disconnect the two back speakers. i know only have the left front working, but at least the buttons are working now
