Tank selector switch
I am new in the Diesel world. and so far have had pretty good luck... I have purchased a 1985 E 350 with a 6.9 . I have so far replaced the injector pump, water separator, all rubber fuel lines, including returns. Engine runs great.. My problem now is the Fuel guage does not work. I asumed the tank selector vale was bad so I purchase anothe, however the new switch needs to be completely rewired as it is a universal switch. The new switch is an AC Delco 6 port with 5 wires?? The orgianl was a Ford (asuming factory) with 5 wires... Can anyone help me with this??? I am not sure which wire should go where.... the new switch has directions but I am not sure what color wire goes to where.. I have a Chiltons book with wire diagrahms and it does not tell me which color wire goes where???? I am at a loss
