rough idle
I have a '95 Bronco. I rebuilt the enging about 9 months ago and I have had a rough idle every since. I went to the performance forum and I think that the cam I got is to big for the speed desity system I have. I was told that a chip would fix this. The only thing is I don't want to have to use super or premium unlead fuel. Is this possible? Would a chip fix my problem? If so where is a good place to get one?

A custom programmed chip for 87 octane can be made and will help, but it may not completely eliminate problems with cam selection, depending on the grind. What, exactly, do you mean by rough idle? Does it lope really bad?

Yeah, it lopes pretty bad. But, seems to be worse when it's colder. At first I thought I had a bad IAC or TPS. I used a Snap-On scan tool and found no codes. Someone told me it was my cam. Thats when I started asking in the performance forum. Anyway ones the engine gets up to temp the lope is not AS bad but still there.
