OK, I have an 88 f150 300. I had to replace the head. I was able to remove the thermactor tube just by pulling it away from the head. The nuts that it went into came out and had what looked like a compression fitting on the end that was removable. Does anyone know how these go back together or how to get new ones? I searched the forums, my Haynes, a dealership, and a couple of parts stores but no one is that familiar with this thing. Any help is appreciated.
If you are looking for new ones the nuts are Ford part # E7TZ-9B471-A and the manifold tube assembly is part # F5TZ-9B445-B I paid $80.34 for the tube assembly and $5.63 each fot the ferrule nuts. the way these work is you put the nuts on the tube assembly put the tube assembly in the head and make sure it is seated nice and square, then you tighten the nuts and as the nuts get tight the end of the nut compresses on the tube and breaks off the nut thus getting the compression fitting you where talking about. I am not sure if you can reuse the one you have all the ones that I have seen have been in pretty bad shape. Hope this info helps. Oh and if you need the check valve that is mounted to the tube assembly it is part # E7TZ-9A487-B @ $42.52. good luck!

Thank you so much for the reply to this. I have been going everywhere to find the little ferrels. The nuts that I have are OK. But I need the ferrels. Just want to clear up with you, the part number for the ferrels is E7TZ-9B471-A? Or is that the nut. Any other help is appreciated.
