I have access to a mid 70's f250 with disc setup. I was wondering if I could use the caliper mounting brackets to install discs on my 66 f100. I'll also be using the steering gearbox, power brakes, and steering column.
Thanks
Rob
By using the mid 70s F250 calipers and spindle you will need to also use the eight lug hub....and the corresponding eight lug wheels. The F250 calipers are a totally different animal from the F100 with dual piston pucks and a very much larger pad.
Steering box, and collum will interchange to an F100.
FWIW. ya can also use 77 up F150 Trailer Special HD Rotors which are same dimensionally as std F250, except 5 on 5 1/2 pattern rather than 8 lug usually found on F250s. That's what's on my 79 chassis under my 66 F100.

I have the same rotors on the front of my crew cab but it has the F150 calipers, not the dual puck F250.....79 Trailer Towing Special Chassis..will this rotors bearings and races be the same dimensionally? meaning the 5on 5.5 to match up to the F250 spindle?
