Resetting Alarm
Had to drop my tranny the other day and the starter was in the way. I disconnected the batteries and after getting it all back together and hooking up the batteries the alarm went off. Now I cant set it, but it will lock and unlock the doors. Any ideals on how to fix this?

It should have a LED on the dash that blinks to tell you the status of the alarm. If you see 3 short blinks on it it is in valet, blinking on & off steady is armed and if it is blinking fast it has sensed it was triggered. Try pulling the fuse for 2 minutes then put it back in. It should set off the siren so have the remote in hand. Sometimes they just get stuck inside. The alarm is usually made by CodeAlarm so calling them may help if all else fails.

You act like you know alot about Ford alarms. I have a question. I have an expedition that the horn is bunt out. I think the Alarn did it. The parking light blink as if the alarm is goin off but the headlights do not. This happens almost everytime I lock or arm the vehicle. is this a code comming from the alarm?
