Axle Codes
Does anyone know where I can find a list of axle codes. I have a '99 F250 SD SC and I'm trying to find out which housing/gear ratio is in this truck so I know which fluid to use when changing. Owners manual tells of several different housings using several different fluids, but doesn't tell me what the C2 axle code on the door pillar means. My old '92 manual told me all about the codes, this one tells me squat!!

your post is kinda old, so i hope you get this.
Crawl under your truck and look at the tags on the axles. they'll tell you the ratios. Not sure what you meant by housing but you should have a Dana 50 front and Ford 10.5 in the rear. That's about all I know...hope it helps
