does anyone have these tires? if so or if you know anything about them, how do they hold up, i plan on doing a bit of highway driving with them. but im looking for some big tires (31") that arent too expensive, i found em mounted with rims for 650 on 4wheelparts.com
I don't know what you'd be putting them on but I think the load rating on the LTB is lower than the regular swamper of the same size. Other than that according to what I could find they sound the same as a regular swamper....
well since the tsl's last about 20,000 miles, i would guess the same for the ltb. but not really sure though, not the best tire for the street, but will rip up the mud!
Oh man these tires are awesome. They wear really good. My dad has has these tires on his jeep for about a year and they have barely any wearing on them.
About how many miles has he put on it? I am looking at them, and I drive about 12,000 miles a year. Also, welcome. It is good to see someone else from ID.
I have the LTBs in 34" size. Many posts have been made about the LTBs - do a search of the forums and see if the results answer most of your questions. If you still have specific questions after the search, feel free to ask and I will help you out.
One thing I will type yet again is that the LTBs are NOT highway tires. They will work great for pushing a sprint car, but you may not like the ride TO the track!
do you mean they're loud and/or bumpy, or they'll just get torn up? cuz as long as they look good and serve thier purpose i can handle the noise and ride, its a truck i dont expect smoothness anyways
Loud and bumpy are putting it mildly. When I drive my truck it sounds as if a Cessna is constantly above me. Like ten feet above me! The tires are bias ply - they flat spot when they sit still. They can flat spot overnight, or even after twenty minutes of being parked. Then it takes several miles to smooth out. The tires feel square when driving first thing in the morning. I don't feel comfortable driving my truck over 60 mph with the LTBs on it. I CAN drive it faster, I just don't feel safe.
ooo...that could be a problem...since i plan on taking my truck from the toledo ohio area, all the way down to ohio u. which is like a 4 hour drive, does anyone know of some other agressive looking tires (31") that are close to the same price (abt 100 ea.)?
you could try a set of kumho MT. those are usaully pretty cheap, thats going to be my next set. not sure on the price for your size but for a 35" they are only 117 each, so they should be cheaper for you.
