Fuel Filter

Hi everyone new to this site. Have a question I changed my fuel filter the black circle cap was on super tight I finally got it off, put new filter in and put cap back on. My question is how tight should the cap be ,finger tight or wrench tight.

I use regular pliers with the jaws spread to put the lid on. I don't crank it too hard - but definitely tighter than hand tight. I've never had a leak or a problem doing it like that.

Bought mine from Autozone. Has a plastic top on with it and a fitting for a 1/2 socket. Just put it on hand tight and cranked it 1/4 turn after. It's made by deutch.
