1986 4X4 fuel filter
I picked up new fuel filters for my Ranger (2.9l) they gave me 2.
1 filter is an inline, I founs it easily. Im stuck with the second filter. It seems to be a drop in, looks like a little round air filter.
I want to change it this week end but I cant find it.

If you look on the drivers side inner frame rail you will see a round canister, very much like an oil filter. This is the fuel separater housing. Use an oil filter wrench and remove (counter clockwise) clean replace gasket and filter and install. Done. Good luck.
